Can I use the rules engine API for .NET from an application server that is
seperate from the BizTalk server or do I have to host my applications on the
same server as BizTalk?

Hi Drew,
The Rules engine exposes its APIs as .net assemblies.
You would probably need to wrap your rules engine calls in a webservice
that you can call from your application server.
