Hi,

I wan't to install snort and it should log the data in a mysql database. The
database is running and I type

./configure --with-mysql=/usr/bin/mysql

to configure my snort! But the following error is shown:

*****
unable to find the mysql header files (mysql.h)
*****

The header-files are installt (bye rpm) under /usr/include/mysql, but snort
can't find them.

What do I have to do, to let snort configure without any problems?

Thanks

P.s.: sorry for my bad english, but I'm a German ;-)

try ./configure --with-mysql=/usr , because configure just wants to know
where you got your mysql headers installed ...
