After you federated the nodes, you'll get a couple of different
configurations on each machine.

1) a Node Agent. This is a process that you'll have to stop and start
manually on each machine. This is the process that communicates to the
DMgr. Almost certainly not listening on port 9080.

2) one 'server' configuration, with the server name of the base server.
This process gets started & stopped by the DMgr, passing data through
the Node Agent. This may or may not open a port on 9080. HOWEVER, the
DMgr knows all the port numbers for all these - you can look in the
Admin Console.

So now the question is, what exactly are you expecting on port 9080?

Ken
