Also check to make sure the account hasn't been locked in AD (if you
are using AD).

They do not have AD plugin installed (wasn't there)
and was told they we're not. What is interesting
though is I can't pull up the CCMSysUser in User ->
Global Directory. I can only see it in DC Directory
admin tool. In there it shows as "CCM SysUser" with a
space on the front page but if you pull up the
properties all the OU values equal CCMSysUser without
space.

How can I find out what is logging in with this, it is
just a pub/sub and unity with no IPCC, etc and all
extra services are disabled for most part.

CCMSysUser is used by EM.

Check out the registry entry HKLM\Software\Cisco Systems, Inc.
 \DirectoryConfiguration\Appusers\CCMSysU
ser\

There will be a Password (used by AD) and DCDPassword (or something
similar). Use passwordutils to encrypt 12345 and make sure that's
what is in the registry.

Ryan, Thanks. If they are different ... and we change
registry to match do we need to restart CCM or
Extended services, reboot server?

You'll need to restart Tomcat and maybe CTI.
