Dizum is working. What other 'bastion' remailers have we? I miss Squirrel.

Bananasplit.info and twistycreek.com come to mind. As does panta-rhei.
There are quite a few more. Italian remailers are (all?) closed down due
to their government/police.

Basically you will be fine if you don't use any eelbash incarnation.
There should be a list of them somewhere..

Twistycreek hasn't even been up a year. It's hardly a 'bastion' remailer.

No they haven't. One closed down because of the police, but that was it.

Do you just make this stuff up?

I trust Twisty Admin's intentions and commitment to the remailer
network. Besides, he paid ahead a full year for his remailer to his ISP
and has good legal support from a friend, so I believe it is the least
likely remailer to go down any time soon (no guaranties). And they have
tried to bring it down, they have tried real hard..

I would be weary about Italian remailers after what happened there. And
Belusconi also isn't the best defender of Freedom of Speech that an
(European) country could have.

http://www.edri.org/edrigram/number3.13/backdoor
http://www.edri.org/edrigram/number3.14/Italy
That is two italian remailers. So please go dig a hole

I imagine most remops have their horror stories. They just don't squeal like
stuck pigs when it happens, but hey, if that is twisty's way I got no proble
m
with it just don't assume that because others haven't said anything they
haven't had to strugle and sacrifice to stay up and running and that they
aren't committed.

The problem as you put it is that noone knows. I bet there are remops
without any problems at all, but they could be gone anytime the pighunt
on that remop starts to take off. Twisty Admin has proven himself to be
a pretty healthy pig so far with a good immune system (and sharp tusks).
I think the attackers on Twisty Admin just gave up a couple of months
ago. (and I don't blame them)

Twisty meat is very tasty to pig hunters. And he is very high profile
for a remop. And he seems to still have a lot of reserves in store for
future hunts that may take place on his turf.

hth,
Thomas

Dear Miss Squirrel,

Eelbash is still here, steady as a rock. Zero downtime. Reliable,
dependable, a true trojan warrior holding out against the evil empire to
provide its loyal on-line community with total, 100% iron-clad anonymity.

Austria and citrus have been around for a long time, too, but not as
long as the stalwart Dizum remailer.

Allah is Great!

When we talk "bastion remailer" we mean one whose operator has not proved
himself to be a mentally-retarded little shit-eating Canadian weasel who
censors messages passing through his server, who has in the past _blocked_
traffic to Dizum, who publishes the names of anonymous posters online,
and who should just basically eat chunks of diseased camel shit and die in
agony and go to hell and be XXXXed up the XXX by Sweet Lord Satan.

Allah can suck a pig's cock, and Mohammet can too.
