Here is what i did to solve the issue.
Give anonymous user Live access to
1.Site
2.Site Areas
3.Content
4.Presentation Template
5.Components the make up the Presentation Template

We continue to experience this same error, but only for a handful of users. 
 We implemented the Anonymous user fix, but it was not successful, and also 
does not provide us with the level of security we require.  A dozen or so us
ers still see "exception caught accessing object" in all portlets.

Appreciate any suggestions you can offer.
