Hi,
I'm using WebSphere Commerce Express Developer 5.6.1 on Windows XP and WebSp
here Express 5.6.1. on SuSE 10 Linux.

I have set up my WCExp Dev environment to use a remote DB2 database running
on SuSE 10 Linux. This is working fine. I have also set my WCExp environment
to point to the remote DB2 database. In the past this has worked fine and s
aved a lot of time, I can c
ode and test in the Dev environment and immediately test in the Linux Stagin
g environment.

Recently I have created additional jsp pages and views and as such was requi
red to update the account policy for the new pages. I ran the acpload script
on windows and the new pages display fine in my dev environment.
Now however my Staging Linux environment no longer authenticates correctly.
I cannot log into the tools pages using the wcsadmin user and cannot complet
e an order using the Guest user. I get this error in SystemErr.log -

[2/27/06 13:33:21:173 WST] 3305d783 SystemErr R %3DES-F-DCRYPT; Exce
ption caught while decrypting
[2/27/06 13:33:21:248 WST] 3305d783 SystemErr R ; javax.crypto.BadPa
ddingException: Given final block not properly padded

Does anyone have any ideas on how to proceed? I have since run the acpload s
cript on the Linux Staging machine though this has made no difference.
I'm not sure that adding the new view and running the acpload script is the
cause of the problem, it just happened around the time that this issue arose
.

I know its a rather esoteric issue but any help would be greatly appreciated
.
Cheers,
Peter O'Neill
