From my basic understanding there's a very big difference between a peer
newsfeed exchange and a "pull" feed. With the pull method you're probably
accessing the news server as a "newsreader" and retrieving requested posts b
y
message-id.
In a peer exchange a feed server is sending you posts in high volume and wou
ld
be more efficient for both ends since you don't have to manage the process o
f
finding what you need to pull, then requesting and getting those selections
from
a news server. If you use a pull feed you'll probably have a tough time tryi
ng
to keep up.
