No, Not at the moment, I was going to start taking submissions for a
proposed FAQ, then I went on holiday and forgot all about it.

If anyone has any suggestions, post them to me (or we can nominate
another mug) and I'll put together a draft.

No need for a new FAQ. Everything you need is at www.voip-info.org

... if the server's up, and you can find what you're looking for in amongst
the half-dozen similarly-titled stub articles.

As useful as that site may or may not be, it is not an FAQ for
uk.telecom.voip which is what the OP asked.

None of the answers so far seem to answer the OP's question. Most news
groups within the uk hierarchy have a charter, the one for this group can be
found here: http://www.usenet.org.uk/uk.telecom...uk.telecom.voip

A full list of all groups and their charters can be found here:

I was toying with the idea of knocking up a draft FAQ myself when the group
first started, but I also found something more interesting to do.

They make for terrible FAQs as they cannot be read in a linear fashion to
get an overview of a subject. Also, having multiple people hacking at it in
an ad hoc style makes for poorly-organised information.

As librarians know, poorly-organised information might as well not exist.

It depends entirely on how the documents are formatted. The power of
Wiki's lie in the fact that information can be easily cross linked.

The only think you need to make sure of is that the information is
formatted in a structured manner.
