I have just installed Commerce Server 2002 and I am not really sure what to
do now? If I go to http://localhost nothing shows up, so I guess there
needs to be more configuration (even thought I did download the sample
site). Can anyone point me in the right direction on getting started.

FYI, I am really a SharePoint developer trying to pass the Information
Worker test 74-132, which I failed last week due to all the Commerce Server
questions. So I am try to just learn the basic concepts and features of
Commerce Server 2002.

Thanks in advance,
Dan

Hi Dan,

You need to install a site. One good example for you would be the Retail2002
site which is part of the SDK that you would have installed with Commerce
Server. Look for the SDK directory under you installation location.

Only once you setup a site would something come up that is addressable using
http://server/<sitename>. If you're installing the site on a server with WSS
or SPS Installed then ensure that you make the http://server/<sitename> as a
n
"UNMANAGED" path before site installation.

The details of the Retail2002 Site are available as part of the Commerce
Server documentation which would also have got installed as part of your
installation.
