Biztalk Mapper (.btm) used to display the hyperlink of compiled XSLT file in
the output window of 2004 beta.

I couldn't see that on the newly released Biztalk Server 2004.

This looks a bit unusual because Microsoft almost pioneered XSLT mapping too
l in Biztalk since 2000 -- it even delivered great XSLT extensions support i
n .NET allowing C# calls directly from XSLT!

I also had trouble locating "Compiling Maps" topic in online help that used
to mention about "Mapper compiler component" genrating XSLT-- it could not b
e located in release documentation.
The documentation only mentions compilation of whole project (map+schemas) i
nto a dll assembly!

I am a bit worried about Microsoft's plans for XSLT supporting tools?
Besides using XML editor, Notepad, or, "you now what" third party tools; how
could a developer easily generate XSLT in Visual Studio .NET?

I would appreciate some comments!

You already may have noticed that by right clicking the map you can test
and validate the map. You can provide an XML instance of your own and
see how the converting is done.

Excellent tool set beside Biztalk tools is XMLSpy. You can have
integrated IDE into Visual Studio.
