I have a Windows NT 4.0 Server running Option Pack IIS SMTP with smtpsvc.dll
version: 5.5.1877.197.19 and one Windows 2000 server running IIS SMTP
smtpsvc.dll version: 5.0.2195.6713 and additional Windows 2000 server with
Exchange 2000 that also has smtpsvc.dll version: 5.0.2194.6713.  Does this
mean the both my Windows 2000 SMTP smtpsvc.dll are older versions that the
one on my NT 4.0 box.  If so I find it kind of hard to to believe?

Can anyone explain.

No.  The build numbers across what are actually different products do
not indicate chronology.
