Hi,
I have a production site with commerce server 2002 and sql selrver 2000
i need to build a new site on a new server (From the Begenning)
How to do that and move all custom database changes to the new server?

Hi makel,

1. Pack up your production site (omit this if you have a production PUP
available /w you)
2. Backup your production DB
3. On the new server install CS, SP, FP, prereq's etc
4. Unpack from the production PUP, creating fresh DB's (ensure you create
the DB with the same names as on production site )
5. Stop the site and CS services.
6. drop the freshly created DB's
7. restore from backup the production DB
8. re-attach the restored DB
9. restart the CS service (reboot for a good measure )

Ahh... you'll need to install any customizations (pipline components, custom
resources and such as the pre-requisite.. i.e. before step 4)
