Yesterday's post:

I have IIS server on Server 2003 and Anonymous Access and Windows
Integrated Security are checked but when some users wants to access site
IIS requires credentials ... If I turn off Integrated Security then I
get message "You are not autorized to view this page"

I tried to change Home Directory back to C:\inetpub\wwwroot with no
results ... same scenario happens again

how to set my IIS to allow Anonymous Access
-------------------------------------------

TODAY (NEW facts) :

I have found out that when I rewert my server back to WORKGROUP my IIS
works fine. Then I have join server to domain again and IIS ask for
credential every time somebody try to access web site.

I guess that some Group Policy enforce such behaviour of IIS ...

Where should I look for ...

THX in advance

Lobo

a) What logon failure events do you see in the Windows Event Log?

b) Have you run Filemon and determined which user account is being denied
access to the files in you website? Filemon can be obtained from
www.sysinternals.com

Let's verify what the actual problem is first before jumping to conclusions.

Cheers
Ken

Also take a look at this kb
PRB: Anonymous access fails with an HTTP 401.1 error after you join an IIS
Windows 2000 domain
