I have a ADIC FastStor FS-DLT 7000 autoloading tape drive.

When I plug it in, the green LED goes ON followed by a short beep.

Then the beep goes away, and a minute laters comes back, beeping
non-stop.  The LCD display info screen is blank and shows me nothing.

What could be the problem ? Please help if you know.
