Bollocks.
I set up this nym recently: and I just tested config changes - no problem.
There were problems last year, it's been working Ok since then.

It's still not working for me. Maybe I'm screwing up somehow but I don't
know how. I updated my nym account at nym.alias.net at the same time, using
the same remailers and there was no problem.

I seem to remember the problem last year affected those trying to change/upd
ate
older nyms, but those setting up new nyms seemed to have fewer problems. And
posts went through OK. But we never got to the bottom of exactly what define
d
the set that had problems. I guess for understandable reasons people aren't
going to share too many details of their individual setups. I wonder if this
 is
happening again? Unfortunately the remop never showed up. I'm going to try
updating a couple of old hod nyms and see what happens. Anybody else affecte
d?

I am. I haven't been able to update my nyms at Hod for months. I have
pretty much abandonded them.

It's a shame, too. Hod was a rock-solid resource for a long time.

I thought I'd test the nym to see if it was working. It posted a message
correctly to a newsgroup nearly 24 hours ago but I've gotten no acks. That
means old reply blocks not working - but one of them should have; it works
fine with my nan nym - and attempts to to update reply blocks still don't
succeed.

I could wait a few months until the hod nym expires and then create it
again. Or move to another nym server.

Updated OK. Guess it's something you're doing.

It could be a key thing. Cpunk messages get encrypted into a mixmaster
message by hod before being sent. It's called remixing. If hod/aarg
hasn't been maintained and has old keys, it could be encrypting your
message to a key that the first hop of your reply block won't be able
to decrypt.

It could also be a key thing on your end. Have any of the remailers in
your reply block changed their PGP keys since you gave hod your reply
block? Most remailers change their keys at least once a year, some
more often.

It wasn't important enough to spend much more time to make my hod nym work,
so I've just made a new one with panta.

Thanks to you and the other who have made suggestions.
