Hi,

I have a need for all users to be able to submit postings in a channel
without the need for moderation. This immediately says i should set them as
moderators, however i need them also to be able upload resources and manage
resources in the resource gallery. There isn't a need for users with lesser
privilages. Due to this what should i create the users as? Is it a case of i
f
i don't have any resource managers then users will be able to upload and
manage resources?

Any help would be great, i need to create a mass of users therefore i want
to get it right.

Thanks,

Michael

Hi Michael,

if no moderation is required just don't assign moderator rights groups to
the channels. Then moderators are bypassed.
There is no need to give your authors moderator rights!
If they need to manage resources then also give them resource manager
permissions.

Cheers,
Stefan

Thanks Stefan,

So all in as editors, there will be a couple of channel managers will this
mean that moderation isn't bypassed? By resource manager permissions does
that mean i need to create a role for each channel and then assign the user
to this not just allow them access to the particular resource gallery?

Thanks,

Michael

only if moderator rights groups are on the channels moderator approval is
required.

Stefan

Hi Michael,

you need to create a editor rights group and assign the user and you need to
create a resource manager rights group and assign the user to give him both
rights.
Then assign the channels and resource galleries to these two rights groups.
That's all.

Cheers,
Stefan
