We are going to upgrade our IPCC Express from 3.5 to 4.0. We have
scripts running on IPCC Express on our CallManager for basic inbound
call processing and load balancing. Has anyone had any experience or
problem with upgrading their systems? Has anyone ever experienced any
of their scripts working with 3.5 and not with 4.0?

Thanks!

Jacob

So long as you are using newer 4.0 code you should be fine. 4.0.1 was a
bear to upgrade to (22hrs, 3 tac engineers, and 6-8 developers). Have
not had a problem with scripts not working. But I did notice in the
application your parameters are not double quoted and if you change
them, you have to make sure they are double quoted in order to work.

Wow, thanks Scott, this is great information, I have heard some nasty
stories about people upgrading but have yet to run into any
incompatibility issues. Thanks for your pointer on the double quote, I
will check our scripts for that!

On the cisco ask-icd-ivr support list, there were
threads about upgrades to 4.0 being put on hold due to
issues with the upgrade process. This is going to be
fixed in the 4.0(4) IPCC Express release due out in
April last I saw.

AFAIK there are problems with IPCC 3-->4 upgrades. For example, upgrade
orders are on NPH.. I'm sure your cisco contact can give you more details...
