I have a clean install of Windows 2003 with SQL2005 and VS2005 and when
I tried to install CMS SP2 I got an error "The upgrade patch cannot be
installed by Windows Installer service because the program to be
upgraded may be missing..."
I had CMS SP1a, removed the install and have installed cms and spa in
seperated but still nothing, the same error.

What may be the problem?

Ricardo

Follow the steps in this excellent article:
http://www.mcmsfaq.com/articles/sp2install.asp

Did you mention that you have installed CMS and SP1a already?
