Nope. BizTalk can work with its databases on separate machines (in fact,
this is usually the recommended setup for performance reasons).

The BizTalk 2006 prerequisite cabs include all the necessary client tools
needed to install, included the ADOMD.NET updates and so on.

Hi Mike/Tomas, you can use SQL Server 2005 tools to access MS SQL Server 200

databases.  I do it all the time.
