Hopefully this is a basic question, but I just can't find the setting
anywhere.

Using web author, when changes are approved on the staging server, they
are published to our live server. How do I configure which server the
approved changes are published to?

Hi John,

as soon as the items are approved they will show up on all servers connected
to this database.
If you need to publish them on a dedicated server you need to have a
separate database for this other server and you need to use site deployment
scripts to deploy the items to the dedicated server.

Cheers,
Stefan

Thanks Stefan, would you say the following statement is true?
Before content changes are "approved", they only show up on the server
they were submitted from. Once they are approved, they show up on all
cms servers attached to the cms database.

Hi John,

no this is not correct.
The changed content will show up on all servers if someone switches to edit
mode.
And on no server while in live mode if the item has not been approved.

Cheers,
Stefan
