When I use ctrl-alt-f<N> to get to a virtual console from X, the text on
the console is shifted to the left and of the screen some. If I set my
runlevel to 3 so as to avoid having X start then, the console displays
fine until I use startx to open X. This messes the console up even after
exiting X. Anyone have any ideas as to how I could fix this?
