Hi,

I'm about to begin scoping for a CS development. This will be our first CS
development, although we've got several CMS 2002 developments. Our main
question we need answered is when will CS 2006 be released? We don't want to
have to develop a solution in old software that will be need to be rebuilt i
n
.net 2.0 and a new version of CS 2006. We could develop using the beta
however we can't use the beta in production so don't want to then find 2006
is delay for a year. Whats the current time frame?

Thanks,

Michael

According to a recent press release by Microsoft, the official release date
for Commerce Server 2006 is July 2006. You can expect general availability
(CD, DVD) usually within 30 days of release.

Thanks Jeff,

I'm keen to use webservices as part of the datasource for profiles which is
better in 2006 than 2002, also being .net 2 is a big plus.

Cheers again,

Michael
