How do i turn off the search companion?
everytime i open a file, either from the desktop or explorer, the search
assistant opens. There is no "preferences" box in the search assistant to
disable this ....very annoying. I'm using XP professional with SP2 and
believe this may have started when i tried to re-install SP2. I do not have
the original Windws XP Professional Installation CD since the laptop i am
using was purchased from my ex-employer with XP already installed.
