For testing, you could always hit up the macromedia site... er... adobe
site and go through the example they provide in the docs there. That
should get you up and running pretty fast.

Subject: [FlashComm] Simple Web Cam App
Hi There,
We are looking at setting up web cams in our enclosures. I would like to
propose to do this with FMS as it will allow us to have a lot of control
over the application and not have it come through as a media player
streaming file. We can also utilize FMS for other applications as well.
I
would like to see/find a simple web camera app running off FMS first, so
I
can set one up to present. The other issue I need to get around is we
have
multiple enclosures set at large distances apart, so we may have to set
up a
server (with separate licenses???) for each enclose (proving to be an
expensive option, which can be backed by sponsors if needed). Because as
far
as I know FMS does not work with I.P cameras. If so each server would
then
host 2 or 3 cameras for that particular enclosure.
So in summary:
Is there any simple web camera apps I can see/download to test?
If we had separate servers for each enclosure, would we require
individual
licenses for those servers?
Is there a smarter way to do this and still use FMS? Or would we be
better
off just using I.P cameras, cutting the costs but loosing our end user
control?
Thank you in advance for your help and feedback
Regards Bruce
