I get the following error when trying to attach to a remote WPS 5.0.2 server
from WPS 5.0.2 on WSAD 5.1

Error starting server - failed to attach to localhost:7777

Can anyone point me where to llok for waht is going wrong?

Have you checked the online help?  Portal Toolkit online help has section on
 remote debugging at Tasks -> Debugging a portlet on WebSphere Portal -> Rem
ote debugging using Server Attach.
It appears you have not created "Server and Server configuration."

Have you tried starting the server in debug mode? In the administration cons
ole look for debugging services under Webpshere_Portal and check the box tha
t asks if it needs to be started when the server starts. Restart the server 
and then you should be able
to connect remotely.
