We have sucessfully moved our MSCMS 2001 from server A+B to server C+D.
We made a new installation and copied the database and the site is now on
the new servers.

However we experienced that our editors have to download the Active-X
component again which is causing trouble due to you have to be a sys-adm.
This means that we (not the editor) have to log on locally as admin on each
PC to download the component.

Before rolling the component out can anyone explain what happend ?
The editor had the "old" component on the PC and we did not imagine that
they had to install a new one...

Could an explanation be that the component is unique to the new installation
 ?

Hi Simtek,

sounds as if the two different server machines have a different service pack
or hotfix level.

Ups, yes sp1 on the old servers and sp1 & sp2 on the new servers...
