4th International Workshop on Middleware for Grid Computing - MGC 2006
In conjunction with ACM/IFIP/USENIX 7th International Middleware
Conference 2006
Melbourne, Australia, Monday November 27, 2006

The Middleware for Grid Computing (MGC) workshop series have been
organized in conjunction with the Middleware Conference, since MGC
2003, in Rio  Brazil, followed by MGC 2004 in Toronto - Canada, and
MGC 2005 in Grenoble - France. Following each workshop, thoroughly
revised selected papers were invited to Special Issues of Concurrency
and Computation: Practice and Experience Journal (CPE) Journal. For
MGC 2006, workshop researchers from the various GRID middleware
communities are encouraged to submit and present original work to be
considered for publication.
Overall topics of interest include but are not limited to:

- Object Metadata and Schemas in Grid Middleware
- programming Models and Tools in Grid Middleware
- Resource Management and Scheduling
- Strategies and Protocols for QoS in Grid Middleware
- Information Services in Grid Middleware

- Performance Evaluation and Modeling in Grid Middleware
- Agent-based Approaches in Grid Middleware
- Utility computing
- Core Grid Infrastructure
- Grid Security
- Virtualization in Grid Middleware
- Wireless Grids Middleware
- Data Grid Middleware
- Peer to Peer Protocols in Grid Computing
- Network Support for Grid Computing
- Grid Application Frameworks
- Portals and Portlet Containers
- Adaptive/Autonomic Middleware
- Messaging in Grid Middleware

Paper Submission: The Workshop on Middleware for Grid Computing
invites authors to submit original and unpublished work. Papers should
not exceed 6 pages ACM style (single-spaced 2-column of text using
09-point size type on A4 paper).

Authors should submit a PostScript (level 2) or PDF file that will
print on a PostScript printer.
- Electronic only submission (via submission server).
- Submission requires the willingness of at least one of the authors
to register and present the paper.
- All selected papers for this workshop are peer-reviewed and will be
published with ACM.
- Selected (extended) papers will be invited to a special issue of
Concurrency and Computation: Practice and Experience Journal to appear
in 2007(8).

Important Dates: Submissions: Moday - 14th August 2006
Notice of acceptance: Thursday - 14th September 2006
Camera-ready: Thursday - 5th October 2006
