We are running W2k Server sp3 and IIS5.0 and have not had
a log generated for the past nine days. Any thoughts on
what could be behind this phenomenon ?

A really bad administrator. There's so many things that can result in this
that I'm not even going to list them. No disk space, wrong file permissions
or simply logging turned off are just the tip of the iceberg. But if you
didn't want it to stop logging then somebody broke into your box and turned
it off to cover up their tracks.

No corresponding events logged. Logging has never been
disabled. Thanks.

Is it all web sites or one particular site ?

have you try disable and re-enable it.
then browse a simple html pages, wait for while.
and check if log file is there.

Have no problems browsing internet. Unable to monitor
port80 traffic using w3svc1 log as one has not been
generated for several days now. Have disabled and enabled
IISAdmin with no change. Have also considered stopping /
restarting RPC.
