Hi

I've got MCMS 2002 standard edition. Is it possible to map my channel path
to normal domain name (like www.edukon.pl ?). I tried to set it up in IIS
but I get HTTP 403. So I wonder if there is any solution ...?
All I want is to start with my MCMS application under normal www.edukon.pl
address not www.edukon.pl/cms for example.

Regards

Darek T.

Hello Dariusz,

Yup, look into the "Map Channel To Host Header Names" option in the General
tab of the SCA.

Basically you name your top level channel the same as your host header name,
enable this in the SCA, and put the host header entry in the site in IIS.

Hi again

I checked it and it occured that ... "No (This value cannot be modified on
CMS Standard Edition) "
Is it possible? I can understand that I'm limited to 15 users having
Standard Edit. but header names are basic/normal thing every user wants to
use. Strange....
Anyway maybe there is a trick I can remove this obstacle?

Hello Dariusz,

Unfortuantely you're correct, host header mapping is not available in the
standard edition.

Hi Dariusz,

this is one of the features that is only available in the enterprise edition
of MCMS.
See here for a complete list of all differences between the editions:

Cheers,
Stefan
