I am using the SMTP service on a Windows 2003 dedicated server hosted
by an ISP. During development, mail was being sent successfully from
feedback forms etc on the website. However, after going live with the
new site (moving the domain name to the new IP address), no mail is
sent and every time I try to submit a form that sends email I get this
error in the event log:
Message delivery to the remote domain 'my.domain' failed for the
following reason: Unable to deliver the message because the
destination address was misconfigured as a mail loop.
The organisation's email domain is the same as our www address,
although our email is managed locally and not by an ISP, so I was
wondering if this would cause a problem? The default SMPT virtual
server is set to "All Unassigned"
Can anyone help?
Thanks
Leslie
