Hi,
I have observed that when more than one users attempt to edit a single
posting simultaneously , some kind of locking action takes place , and
default console disappears for all but one user.I want suggestion how to tra
p
this event or at least prevent more than one users edit the same posting
concurrently.Should I go for custom workflow kind of thing or is there other
way out?
Thanks ,
Sivaji

Hi Sivaji,

I have never heard that the console disappear.
There is no locking happening on edit. Only if a user saves the posting no
other author will see the edit link till the item is unlocked. But the
console is still there.
Are you using a custom console?
Problems as you decribed can happen if a custom console is not implemented
properly. E.g. if the errorconsole part is removed from the custom console
which is not allowed.

Cheers,
Stefan
