I have built my web site using FP2003. The site is working.
When I installed my hit counter through front page, it shows up on the home
page and increments by one each time the page is accessed. Just as it shoul
d.

On my old, predecesser page, my hits had reached 2252. In the set up dialog
for hit counter, I have entered this number in the "reset to" box. If I
check the HTML, this number shows up in one of the code lines associated wit
h
hit counter.

However, hit counter does not pick up the prior pages hit count. It starts
out with the hit count for the current page just the number of hits since th
e
page was published.

How do I get hit counter to add to the current totals, the carry forward
total from my prior web page on the same subject as the current, rewritten,
newly published page? The hit counter now shows "26"; it should show 2278.

Help, and thanks.

You have to open the like/remote site directly in FP, then edit the homepage
.htm.cnt file in the
_private folder. with notepad. Do not change the number of digits, just set
the number to what it
should be.
