hi friends

I' ve got mldonkey running on my computer and wanted to use it to download
the mandrake 10.0 packs. I loaded the two torrent files to my disc and
startet the download with dllink /path/file.torrent. It worked like a
charme, but after a few hours I had to stop mldonkey and reboot the machine
(for other reasons). After this, I didnt get a connection of the
torrent-downloads again.
Then I read on the Club-pages, that I have to re-download the torrent-files,
if I change my IP (what happened after reconnect to the net, because of
this dynamic-IP-crap). So I did this and replaces the old ones with the
new, started mldonkey again, but no connection appeared.
How can I resume my download (more than a GB)? I don't want to start it
again.
Has someone here experience with mldonkey and bittorrent (and downloading
club-files)?

greetings
rainer

I don't know anything about the "mldonkey" application. However,
bittorrent will resume a download, if you point the download to the same
folder as the previous attempt...

I used bittorrent and was able to download the 5 CD set in about 24 hours,
on a 1.5 Mbps DSL connection. I did open my firewall and forward ports
6881-6889 (or whatever they are, don't recall for sure)...

no u dont have to reload the torrent files. u couldn not have
possibly have read this. this is what u need to do.

u need to go to the mandrake club page and click on the bittorrent
word and then u are sent to a page with several bittorrents.

then u right click on the torrent u have started and then a small
piece of is sent to your harddrive and then u are asked for
permission to continue, u ok and then your machine will check your
torrent file and automatically start where u left off.

I found it:
http://mldonkey.berlios.de/modules....f388f0aecffddcf
it's a mldonkey-bug and not a mandrake- or bittorrent-problem
