Hi, all. I am using Red Hat 9/sendmail 8.12/vacation 1.2.6. (I had to
install vacation separately because for some reason Red Hat stopped
including it. But that weirdness is for another post.)
In any case, my question is simple:
What is the syntax for the -a option to vacation? More specifically, can I
include a whole email address as an alias? The vacation man page only
uses local aliases as examples.
So, for example, can I expect this to work:
$ cat .forward
\jeff, "|/usr/bin/vacation -a jeffrey@jhu.edu -a jeffrey.silverman@jhu.edu j
eff"
I hope I am making myself clear. Of course, I am going to test this but
actually vacation makes itself difficult to test because of the whole
"don't respond to the same sender within certain time limit" thing.
(Which I think is 15 minutes?)
Allrighty, thanks!
