I have the latest RAD6 fixpacks and portal test environment 5.1.0.3.
I can deploy a portal project to the test environemnt and run it. OK so far.
Then i stop the test environment.
The problems come when i try to start the test environment again. It gets mo
st of the way there (it's open for ebusiness and it's loading the services)
and then the server inexplicably stops, with no error messages in the logs.
After about 40 hours of bas
hing my head against this, i have discovered that the only sequence i can us
e to get it running again is this:
a) remove all projects
b) delete he wps project (that gets created when server first starts)
c) start the server (ie a fresh one without my portal project)
d) stop the server
e) now add my portal project and it will start.
This is a 20 minute turn-around time for me.

Thinking it might be something to do with my machine, i tried it with a coll
eague and he encountered the same issue (although he has a newer machine and
turn around time for him is 10 minutes!) I'm freaking-out because a bunch
of developers will be start
ing next week and this is going to eat time in a major way.

Has anyone else encountered/solved this issue? Is this normal?
