Anyone Have Problems With Importing PDF Documents ?

Further to my earlier post on export/import problems...
Situation is we have a staging server from where we do incremntal exports,
these are then imported to the production server.

I've identified an issue with PDF documents whereby they are replaced on the
staging server. the export files contain the new versions of the files and
the import report says they have been imported with no errors, however upon
viewing the site the old version of the pdf file is served.
This happens both with an import through the SDAPI and a manual import via
Site Manager.

Has anyone come across this before or know of a possible resolution ?

Thanks

This may be totally unrelated to your problem, but I believe only Published
versions of objects get exported to an SDO. Are you positive the newer
versions of your PDF's have a status of Published?

Sorry... you said the newer versions of the PDFs were successfully added to
the SDO. My bad. Have you also eliminated the possibility that the PDF is
being cached on the client side in the user's IE temp directory?

Becky,

You were on the right track, it wasnt the users' browser cache but our proxy
server is caching stuff, of course just about everyone in the organisation
goes through that, so everyone saw the old document. I got the cache cleared
and it appears all is fine. The network chaps are going to look at the proxy
server config.

Thanks for your help anyway.

Mark
