Does anyone know if there is a workaround to installing CM on a DL320 with a
3GHz processor? I didn't see the matrix that it only supports the 2.8 and I
just purchased two new lab servers. I discovered this as I was trying to
install the OS. Are there any plans to support the 3GHz model?

Unfortunately, cisco picks particular models to support based on many
different support factors.

Their next step up may be a 3.0ghz HP model, but usually they move up
based on price factor and HP agreements.

You may want to look into replacing those processors with 2.8ghz. If
they do move up to another model, it may not be for 4-6 months until
their hardware agreement with HP comes up for expiration.

Just curious, what kind of message do you get when you do the CCM
installation? I would have assumed that as long as it's a DL320, it
would work, but I guess the processor speed makes a difference.

With CallManager 5.0 (which I assume you are trying to install, Jeremy)
you will get an exact messages as to what it is looking for.

I bought a DL320 2.8ghz off ebay for about $1050. The install told me
first that I needed 2gb memory. After I got 2Gb memory, it told me I
needed a second 80gb SATA drive. Then it worked. Of course, the time
in-between those steps was a a bit longer that how it got typed. :-)
