How can I get my Linux PC system, which is up and running nicely, to print
to a printer on my windows network. The Linux box is on a cat5 coming out
of the network router, and is up fine on the Internet. How can I get it to
print to the printer on this Windows network? I just got Linux installed
Sept 9th, so I am new to this...I am not sure how to work from the command
line...but I do have the newest Samba software on a disk....

Ok...Thank you very much. Where, exactly, do I locate "a 4-5 step Cups
hoto." ?

You could try:

http://www.howtoforge.com/
http://www.debian-administration.org/

and of course:
http://www.google.se/linux

You need to set up your MS Windows box to share your printer to the net
as a SMB-printer (that is, MicroSoft:s net protocol to share printers
and disks).
You need CUPS (package cupsys in Debian) to handel printer queues on
your linux system (and it can also share printers to other computers in
your network that runs CUPS-clients). You need to set it up to use
SMB-printers.

Good luck

Well, I did get CUPS installed and running, and ran it....Unfortunately,
even though it reports that I successfully installed the printer, and even
after it reports that the test page is "printing", nothing prints...
Any suggestions?
