I want to write piece of code to put some object into session once user logi
n to portal, by default the user navigates to kind of home page which is par
t of specific portlet.

In portal application, user may book mark authenticated page after login to
portal. During next visit user may goes to authenticatd page thru book mark.
In this case it will redirect to webseal login page. After user authenticate
d it will goes to book mark page instead home page. so it may not execute pi
ece of code which is part of home page (portlet).

Is there any common place to put the code, it will execute default home page
 code.

Thanks & Regards,
Bala

You can use PortletSessionListener interace for tracking the login and logou
t events. There are 2 methods declared in this interface. You just need to o
verride the login method and inside this store data in the session object.
