Suppose that I'm using hashcash strings for several m2n gateways. Is it bet
ter to use one X-Hashcash header containing all the strings, separated by co
mmas? Or is it better to use a separate X-Hashcash header for each string?

That's an interesting question and one I'd never thought of. I tested a
little bit and it seems that separating them by
commas on one line does work sometimes (which surprised me) but placing
them separately each with their own X-Hashcash:
line worked best and was much easier to keep straight.
