    Replacement for BackupMyPC

I have used this for years and it hasn't changed surely there is
something better by now. I need to be able to slect by file for backup
and be able to backup/restore the system state. BackupMyPC will make
shadow copies of files that are open during backup so you can restore
this.

What should I look at?

Microsoft Backup in Windows XP/Vista will work just fine:

The built-in backups are just watered done versions of Bump.

Use Acronis True Image.
