We plan to set up commerce server development environment using MCS 2007
developer edition. Have the following questions:

1. Is developer edition free of cost ?

2. How to get developer edition ? Is it available only under MSDN
subscription ?

3. We are planning to use only one  instance of SQL Server 2005 for all
instances of MCS 2007 ? Is it possible ?

1) Yes it is free

2) You can download it here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...&DisplayLang=en

3) Yes you can share one instance of SQL Server with multiple CS sites.  All
of the database names include the site name.
