Hi Steve
I am sorry I didn't answer before, but I was busy performed the suggested
messures.
In the even viewer I got an error with Source: Service Control Manager
Event ID: 7000
The description reads:
The Ftdsuipfrc service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.
I tried a SC QUERY FTSSUIPFRC at the command prompt and return a
WIN32_EXIT_CODE of zero
I went to services and try to start the FTSSUIPFRC service and got: "Could
not start the FTDSUIPFRC service in local computer. Error 2: The system
cannot find the file specified."
I right click the service to see his properties, and the path to executable
is directed to C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmmon32.exe.
I search for the file and it is there. I looked at the service's log on tab
and it is set to Local system account and at the bottom lists "Profile one"
Still, when I try to load the "Localhost" in my browser I got "Localhost
HTTP 500 INTERNAL SERVER ERROR.
I can, though browse my local web pages directing the browser to the URL:
http://my_computer/"site name" meaning that the local server is serving them
.
I can load my local web pages into Front Page but I can not published
changes made to pages in the web to my local server, like I used before.
I tried to run filemon as instructed but that program is not in my XP PRO
install
I checked the "Directory Security" of the web sites in IIS and they are set
to anonymous.
I really don't know what is happening
your help is greatly appreciated.
