I'm using IPCCx 4.0.1sr1 and I'm currently using RSPAN to monitor my
agents.

How do I monitor agents without the RSPAN? I'm not finding the right
docs. Is anyone doing this in production? Pro's / Con's?

Thanks

Scott

We're using it at 1 call center. Havent had any problems once I figured out
how the audio got shipped around and that I needed to permit the voice vlan
traffic through to the PC VLAN in callmanager. We are running 4.0.4, i'm
assuming the feature is there in 4.0.1

check out the CAD installation guide for some instructions on setting it up
(not the first place I looked for it)

pros
-dont need to set up RSPAN, the audio is collected from CAD and sent to the
supervisor desktop app that is monitoring
-no additional equipment to install

cons/requirements
-have to permit voice vlan traffic to the PC port on phones that need to be
monitored.
-PC must be connected to the IP Phone PC port
-desktop NIC must support 802.1Q
-you have an additional RTP stream for the monitored audio coming from CAD
(in addition to any RTP streams for recording)
-doesnt work with IP Phone Agent or Citrix
-you need IPCC xpess enhanced or premium

My carrier accepts voip calls, i.e. i sent calls to my
carrier's GW/GKs and it handles all the calls. So, can
I have both the call monitoring and recording using
RSPAN.

Once I tried but only gets the Agents' Voice not the
person from Carrier's end.

Any suggestion ???

thanks
Brain

I'm lost with the new website (CCO) and where to find the actual setup
instructions. Can someone send me the direct link?

Is anyone using Dell PC's in this configuration? They all use the
Broadcom NICs.

Thanks

Scott

Thanks Ed.

Just to add a full circle in case someone else googles this, this link
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer...ps1846/products
_tech_note09186a008075025a.shtml really helped me.

We use Dell PC's and havent had any trouble yet. Jinx

CAD installation guide is:
http://www.cisco.com/application/pd.../ps6488/c1097/c
cmigration_09186a00804a2431.pdf
The portion discussing requirements for the built-in silent monitoring
is in the "Before you Install CAD" section strangely enough, rather than
in the VOIP Monitoring Service in the Appendix.. kinda confusing I
almost didnt find it again.
