I am having problems with backup exec 10d on windows server 2003 using
dat72.

I am backing up from local drives only - (no network issues!)

2 weeks ago it took 4 hours for 26g -
Last week it took 15 hours for the same 26g -

This week it has taken 68 hours for the same 26g!!!!

Can anyone suggest why this is now taking so long?
How can i get it back to the 4 hours?!?

Many Thanks.

In this situation I would start by running a cleaning tape through the
drive a couple of times. Then I would try different tape media and see
if things improve.
Review the job logs and see if there are any specific files/directories
that are showing increased time to backup.
