CCM shared line like in CME

Hi,

Is it possible to configure the "big" CCM (4.x) to have a shared line
feature assigned to a button?

I am creating these shared lines on CME this way:

ephone-dn 1

number 1000

ephone-dn 2

number 1001

ephone 1

mac-address 1234.5678.1234

type 7940

button 1o1,2

But in CCM configuration I can't see a possibility to assign another DN to a
line.

Do you have any suggestion please?

Thank you.

Best regards,

Jozef Janitor

I don't think there is a native feature for this, but you could use translat
ions and or CTI route points forwarded to the 'real' line. Each has there ad
vantages and behaviours. If you are migrating from CME to CCM then you might
 notice some differences.

What do you see on the phone?

Just out of curiosity, what is it you are trying to do?
The only time I have used an overlay button in CME was to simulate the
operation of a broadcast hunt group that is native to CM, but not in
CME.

We have an office where each of us has its own IP phone at the desk with own
extension, but we would like also to have one shared number for this office.

There are already no free buttons on the phones, so that's the reason why I
would like to have to one button assigned two extensions.

Is it possible?

Thank you.

Setup a Broad cast LineGroup... assign it to a Hunt Group and then to a
Hunt pilot. It will work much the same way.

Hi, I have handled it with line group/hunt list/route pattern as it was
recommended here by Scott.

All the best,

Jozef

Hi,

Is it possible to configure the "big" CCM (4.x) to have a shared line
feature assigned to a button?

I am creating these shared lines on CME this way:

ephone-dn 1

ephone-dn 2

ephone 1

mac-address 1234.5678.1234

type 7940

button 1o1,2

But in CCM configuration I can't see a possibility to assign another DN to a
line.

Do you have any suggestion please?

Thank you.

Best regards,
