All you have to do is tell it that its default directory is not ok, and
to specify another one. It will say something like "installing into
/opt/openv. Is that OK?" You say NO, then give it a name of where you
want it to go, such as /data, or whatever. It will then put it in
/data/openv.

Hello all,
Im new to solaris after coming from a windows enviroment. I have to get
netbackup 6 onto a solaris 9 box that has only 700mb left on / and i
understand i need around 800mb for the netbackup install.
I do have other partitions with gigs of disk space. Can anybody give me
advice on how to get round the space issue? im not sure if i understand
the installers "alternate root" install option!!=20
