See: <http://fedora.redhat.com/>

Fedora is the next experimental version of Red Hat Linux after the 9.0
version. They named it, rather than number it. You wouldn't use one to
install the other, unless you had some peculiar requirements. 8.0 has been
discontinued, and so has 9.0. If you wish to keep using one of the
experimental Red Hat Linuxes (as opposed to one of the professional, pay
dearly for it versions), and have current versions of the files with
security updates, then you'll need to use Fedora instead of a prior
version.

Have you looked at http://fedora.redhat.com? There are lots
of answers there. The short answer is Fedora is a whole
distribution, said by some to be roughly equivalent to what
Red Hat Linux 10 would have been.

Good luck.
