I am running a TOR server as an exit node.

Is it possible for me to read the traffic passing thorugh my system?

You need a special brain implant for this. Here let me help you with
this hammer and chisel!

How do you feel now. Can you read the traffic yet?

Thomas, that wasn't very nice at all. Says a whole hell of a lot more
about you than me.

I have noticed that a disproportionate number of people on this group
tend to be really snarly when asked a simple question. Where does such
behavior get them?

Gogarty,

You are capable of sniffing any unencrypted traffic which leaves your
server as an exit node. However the TOR developers have already noted
this and encourage their users to use encrypted traffic (HTTPS, IMAPS,
NNTPS, etc). As a exit node operator, it is considered bad form to
sniff exit traffic passing through your system.

My apologies for the multiple postings. My news client told me it
couldn't send due to a timeout.

You were asking how to snoop on other people's communications using
your tor server. If you don't want to allow people to use your tor
server, don't run one. If you don't want people to connect to anything
through your system, just run a middleman node, but don't snoop on
people's traffic.

Bad Gogarty!

Into your head, apparently.
